The liquid phase clarity of a horizontal spiral centrifuge (hereinafter referred to as a centrifuge) after clarification is determined by two factors: the effective centrifugal force acting on the liquid phase in the settling zone of the drum. Average residence time of the liquid phase in the settling zone of the drum.
Similarly, the moisture content of the solid phase after dehydration by a centrifuge is also determined by two factors: the effective centrifugal force acting on the solid phase in the drum dehydration zone. Average residence time of solid phase in the drum dehydration zone. By adjusting the operating state of the centrifuge, the above factors can be controlled within a certain range to achieve better separation results.
In general, first roughly set the rotating speed range of the drum for the separated material, and then adjust the differential rotating speed and overflow plate according to the separation situation of the centrifuge to obtain a better separation effect.
The adjustment of differential rotation speed and overflow plate has the following rule with respect to liquid phase clarity and solid phase moisture content: a small differential rotation speed will reduce the solid phase moisture content, but the liquid phase clarity will decrease. A larger differential speed will increase the clarity of the liquid phase, but the moisture content of the solid phase will increase. The overflow plate with a smaller inner diameter will improve the clarity of the liquid phase, but the moisture content of the solid phase will increase. The overflow plate with a larger inner diameter will reduce the moisture content of the solid phase, but the clarity of the liquid phase will decrease.
Therefore, when the liquid phase clarity is the main factor and the solid phase moisture content is the second, a deeper liquid pool depth should be used, and the differential speed should not be too small. When the solid-phase dryness is the main factor and the liquid-phase clarity is the second, a shallow liquid pool depth and a smaller differential speed should be used.
